The Cultural Portfolio has announced József Pécsi Scholarship for young photographers since 1991. The objective of the scholarship, awarded for two, maximum three years, is to give a career support as well as an artistic encouragement for artists, whose works are contemporary and innovative in their content and way of realisation. The founder of the new scholarship chose József Pécsi as the father. On one hand it wished to set up a scholarship in memory of the great photographer and at the same time set his professional knowledge, diversity, art -mixing traditional and modern stylistic features- as an example to young photographers, who wish to use photography in an artistic way as a mission in live.
