It is a regular, annual programme at Hungarian House of Photography – Mai Manó House to present the works of the photographer awarded the Grand Prix of the Hungarian Press Photography competition, organised in cooperation with the Society of Hungarian Press Photographers each year. István Huszti was judged this prize for „His outstanding professional achievement in 2010” this year.

István Huszti

I was born in Mátészalka in 1969. I graduated from the Práter Street Photography School in 1989. I interned at Magyar Ifjúság [“Hungarian Youth, children and youth magazine]. After years of being a freelancer, I started to work at Magyar Narancs [“Hungarian Orange,” weekly magazine]. I’ve been working as a photojournalist for the news portal index.hu since 2005. I won the 1st Prize in the Humor/tabloid/genre category at the Hungarian Press Photo Competition.
