Zoltán VANCSÓ
b. 1972, Budapest

Budapest Street

Whether on a Cuban beach or in Paris, or in the capital of Hungary, in all cases, Zoltán Vancsó explores the broad frontier between document and fiction. His black and white photographs are primarily founded on shapes and moods, carefully recording moments sought and found in reality, without making socially oriented statements. His works are infused with a uniquely personal, emotional style, taking the spectator on a light journey across his photographs, in the footsteps of the wandering photographer.

Vancsó made his series Budapest Street in 2007, supported by the Budapest Photography Grant.
